Nestled in the Wasatch Mountain range, the Lodge boasts some of the nation's best skiing right outside its front door.
Our rustic lodge is tucked in among the pines and flowing mountain streams. Trails, alpine lakes, and summits are a short hike away.
A building doesn't become historic if it isn't carefully maintained. Your donations help us preserve the Lodge to look much as it did in 1929.
The Wasatch Mountain Lodge is a registered historic structure constructed by the Wasatch Mountain Club in 1929 in Brighton, Utah. The early founding members of the club built the Lodge as an overnight and weekend destination when travel in and out of the canyon was significantly more difficult than now. These early club members also built the first rope tow at Brighton, which later became one of the chair lifts of the Brighton Resort. The Lodge is one of few remaining original log buildings in the Brighton area. Because of it's history and importance, this beautiful building was placed on the National Register of Historic Places.
The Lodge is owned and operated by the Wasatch Mountain Club Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization created to preserve the stately Wasatch Mountain Lodge and associated history of mountaineering.
